Introduction

Hi my name is Mark Phillips and I'm currently studying MSc/H.Dip in Career Guidance and Counselling in Dublin City University (DCU). The purpose of this blog is to help students re-entering the education system through YouthReach to have a positive experience whilst participating in Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) accredited modules Levels Four and Five. Students may follow on to third level education or enter the labour market with recognised qualifications. This will therefore enable them to become an active and valuable member of society.

Students attend YouthReach for various reasons; Early school leaving, Been terminated from school or not attending school. YouthReach gives them a second chance to achieve their goals through a different method of learning. Many students have successfully completed their FETAC modules and went on to further their education through DCU and gained employment across a range of industries from Legal Secretary to the Retail sector. Remember dreams can come through.
